Mother's Day is pretty ordinary around here. As I did not become a mother until 34, I heard TONS of mother's day sermons that did not apply to me. I fought three boys into church clothes and kept two quiet during services. I then have duties at church which involves feeding a snack to 10 squirmy children who have just sat through services. I am always late to my class as a result.
My brother is here which is always a treat. We went to lunch and then to the pool which opened last week. We swam with some friends. All the kids have known each other since they were toddlers and they always get along so great. We cooked out hamburgers and watched some TV. A good day was had by all.
The best mother's day present ever...having ones to celebrate it with.
Happy Mother's Day (a little late)!!
Although I became a mom 15 years before you, I appreciate the fact no less that I have one's to celebrate this day with. Being a mom is the most rewarding thing in my life! I'm so thankful God blessed me with three people who call me "Mom".
