If you have not yet, read the post below. Friday, I was really missing my Mom, who passed away 5 years ago Friday and my grandparents.
Today, we returned home from bible study around 12:15. I had just started making lunch (Spaghetti Os and apples) and there was a loud knock on my front door. I went to the door to find my next door neighbor, Miss Connie, with two large bowls of food. One was hot and spicy Chicken Creole and the other was a bowl of vermicelli. She told me that when she got up this morning, God put it on her heart to make us dinner. She did not even need to cook for her family as it was her daughter's night to cook but she took the time to make us a delicious dinner.
Boy was I grateful. I told her how I had been wishing for some Grandmother cooking and this was an answer to my prayers. Miss Connie is a beautiful grandmother who takes in anyone who comes her way and I am grateful God has placed us next door to each other.
What is amazing about our God is that he cares about the little things. The things that in the grand scheme of things do not seem THAT important but to me, this was important and God cares about me enough to see that He had someone who would listen to His prompting and fulfill this need.
Thank you God for your love to me. Thank you for for Godly neighbors. Thank you for the delicious dinner.
What a lovely experience. So nice to have friendly neighbors.
God bless.

How very nice!! Good neighbors aren't easy to come by these days. You are very lucky. I'm glad Ms. Connie was there for you.
