So you do have an accent? I don't.

Do you like straw hats? I'm trying to see how close you are to your Huck Finn rating. ;)

I guess none of us think we have accents - everyone else does :-)

I'm quite obviously a Jersey Girl when I tawk ;-) When I speak in public, it's lessened; when I'm mad or annoyed, it gets worse :-)

'thena gits whud Ay layke ta cowell "Texas tayered." Th'later in thevenin' it gits, th'thicker her accent gits!

Translation:

Athena gets what I like to call "Texas Tired." The later in the evening it gets, the thicker her accent gets!

I have an accent and it is a Texan one usually but the more I live in the southeast the more it becomes more southern and yes, there is a difference, but luckily I go home just enough to bring back the Texas sound. heheehee

Too funny about having the same name! What's your middle name? Do you know anything about your ancestors.... we might be related you know!

How did you get to my site?

I have a twin. Her name is Sara Elizabeth. At the time, (all through growing up actually,) she went by Beth. (We were baby A Brooke and Baby B Brooke in the hospital!) Anyway, my senior year, a freshman arrived with the name -- Amy Beth Brooks (It was an s but people drop the e and add the s on my name all the time.)

Nice to meet you!
