I'm praying for victory in your struggle. Sometimes certain foods (sugar, in particular) can be physically addicting, so, until those cravings are under control, and there are results to keep the motivation up, it can be tough to persist.

I really admire your courage. This must have been a hard post to write, but I appreciate you being bold enough to share it.

I will be praying for you girl! I understand the desire to lose and the lack of motivation to do something. I have good intentions to exercise, start, and then life gets busy & I find something that seems more pressing. Anyway....I will be praying for you. Hang in there!

Amy

My dear friend Cheryl knows the life long struggle this has been. (at least the part that started in college) Your words of encouragement are precious to me. We experienced ARA cafeteria food together, meal after meal.

You can do it Amy! I'll be praying for you too.

In this broken world, we each have our 'issues' - it's just that some are more obvious than others. Thank you for being an Ezekiel, and being willing to be the object lesson of God for 'how to handle your issue, whatever it is.' I'll be praying for you.
(And one day, won't the Marriage Supper of the Lamb be a feast to remember, for all eternity?!)

I can so relate! Thank you for your courage and for encouraging me. Wrap yourself in Christ and he will help you (same goes for me!)

Hello, Amy, I am an AmblesideOnline Mom, too! Were you at the conf. in July? I was! Thank you for your post. It was a real encouragement to me. I have been yo-yoing up and down the scale for years. The most I lost was 58 lbs. in 1999 after my 3rd child was born. I then got pregnant with my 4th and the weight slowly crept back. Then I joined Weight Watchers in the Fall of last year and I lost 23 lbs, but it took me over 30 weeks to do that and I got discouraged. I have put on about 5 or 6 lbs. This past year, which is pretty good, considering...but I feel weak and I am probably the most dissatisfied with my weight now than I have ever been in the past. Our family is signing up at the YMCA this weekend, and I know that will help. I am looking for an open door to an eatting program that I can truly stick with.

BTW, my kids are currently doing a yr 1/ yr 2 combinded schedule. We started last fall, so we are finishing it up. We have a homeschool blog and I have my own personal blog. I am adding you to my community of AO families.

Blessings on you.
